The Early Childhood STREAM Enrichment Program begins from PK3 through 2nd grade. The program offers project-based learning through five disciplines (science, technology, religion, art and mathematics). The Early Childhood STREAM curriculum focuses on providing students with real world challenges correlated to the thematic units currently implemented in the classroom.
Each child is placed in a small group that rotationally switch disciplines every week. In this way the students will meet all disciplines and complete the challenges by the end of each month. A team of early childhood educators work with each group to provide guidance throughout the challenges presented.
The goal of the program is to create the foundational skills presented in STEM careers. STREAM provides opportunities for children to experience problem solving strategies, out of the box thinking and team learning.
