St. John Neumann Catholic School is a parish school, established in 1981, serving preschool (PreK-3) through 8th grade students in the Kendall suburb of Miami.

Student/teacher average ratio is 18:1 – with regular, honors, and enrichment classes offered for students in grades 1 through 8


Principal, Assistant Principal, 8 classroom teachers PK3-5th Grade, 6 teacher aides, 21 teachers concentrating in core and special area subjects such as Religion, Mathematics,  Language Arts, Science, STREAM, ESE, Enrichment, Robotics, Technology, Music, Art, Spanish, and Physical Education, all degreed and State certified with more than 50% holding a Master’s degree.

St. John Neumann Catholic School is an Archdiocesan parochial school whose first objective is to provide a quality Catholic elementary education.  Race or place of origin is no factor in considering application for admission. If space permits, children of any race or national origin may be accepted as students.


Core curriculum required by the State of Florida – Language Arts, Phonics, Math, Social Studies, Science, Handwriting, Art, Music, and Physical Education. Basic skills are reinforced and enrichment is provided through various methods .

We strive to encourage each student’s unique talents while balancing his/her growth as a whole person; physically, spiritually and intellectually. Critical and creative thinking are encouraged across the curriculum. SJNCS is committed to the use of technology as a tool to both challenge and assist our students throughout all aspects of the school curriculum.  With the safety and protection of our students in mind, the school subscribes to a monitored email system for our students and to an Internet filter service. Technology also serves as the primary form of communication with our families.


We emphasize the development of basic skills, and appropriate attitudes, values and team concepts by providing an extensive award-winning athletics program.   As members of the All Catholic Conference of the Archdiocese of Miami, SJNCS has won the Division IIA  All Sports Award for four consecutive years. Sports offered at both junior varsity and varsity levels for both boys and girls iclude: volleyball,  cross country, basketball, softball, baseball, track and field, and flag football, junior varsity and varsity levels. PK3 – 1st Grade: Classes begin at 7:50 A.M. and dismissal is at 2:45 P.M.
2nd – 8th Grade: Classes begin at 7:50 A.M. and dismissal is at 3:00 P.M.


Our pre-school program provides a pleasant Catholic environment where your pre-schooler can grow and develop through many motivating center based activities.


We provide after school care between the hours of 3:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. at a cost of $6.00 per hour. The children will be supervised by a teacher’s aide. The children will be given time for a snack, to study, and to play.

Parents of St. John Neumann Catholic School students must commit to the SJNCS Family Commitment Program. The program consists of each family earning 30 annual points (15 hrs. per single parent household).  These points are earned through service volunteer/donation hours, regular mass attendance, attending parish faith enrichment offerings, participating in proactive parent meetings sponsored by the school, participating in the school’s major fundraisers,  a donation to the school’s Help Us Soar Annual Fund, and volunteering time, talent and treasure.  Parents can form part of and are encouraged to take place in the room parents, chaperoning on field trips, as well as volunteering their time and knowledge towards the advancement of the school’s mission.
