Bullying Awareness Policy

As Catholic educators of St. John Neumann Catholic School, our primary objective is to impart Christian morals and values as we lead the children in their academic, social, personal, and spiritual development. We pledge to do our best to follow Jesus’ teachings in our attempt to create a loving, nurturing, and safe environment, which promotes the respect and acceptance of every child. Because of our beliefs, bullying is unacceptable.

Our school is committed to providing a safe, friendly, and Catholic environment that enables children to achieve to their maximum potential. Because of our commitment, we are firm in our belief that bullying of any type is unacceptable. It is our intent that anyone who knows of a bullying incident, or is involved in a bullying incident, even if as a bystander, will know what to do and be assured that these types of incidents will be addressed.

Saint John Neumann Catholic School has put in place a comprehensive anti-bullying program that includes education, strategies for prevention, procedures for dealing with bullying situations, reporting and staff response that includes sanctions and support for the students.

This is for me
For my friends today
And for my friends tomorrow.

I think being mean is not cool.
I won’t watch someone get
Picked on, put down, or ignored,

Because I am
A do something person
Not a do nothing person.

I care and I know
I can help change things.
I can be a leader.

In my world
Bullies are not allowed.

Bullying is bad.
It’s wrong.
It hurts.
Bullying bothers me.

I know sticking up for someone
May be hard at times, but I know
That it is the right thing to do.

I promise not to stand by,
But to stand up.

I pledge to do my part
to Stomp out Bullying.
